Dear patients,

As the eConsult method of contacting the practice  becomes more popular there will be fewer online telephone appointments available as the capacity will be replaced by eConsults.

As such PLEASE NOTE there is a limited number available at 6.30 pm for the early morning ONLINE telephone slots.

Properly completed eConsults give you an indication of the time the practice will respond to you. Please do not call the practice before this time, as all you are doing is stopping persons who may need urgent access to us via the telephone the opportunity to easily get through to us.

Thursday  : Dr  / Bathia / Bilcea / Gubay  / Patel  / Solani  

Friday  : Dr  / Bathia / Bilcea  / Patel  / Solani 

We have 2 receptionists answering telephones between 8 and 12.30 am and 1.30 and 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Unfortunately if a patient has a complex query which may take some time the telephone queue may build up, for this reason we are ENCOURAGING all our patients to register for our ONLINE services.

 

Our ONLINE booking system REMAINS the SAME the only difference is that you will be booking a telephone call and not a face to face appointment.

Our ONLINE booking system is as follows :

From 6.30 pm we release a limited number of NEXT day ONLINE telephone appointments

During the pandemic we will be running a same day / next day service until further notice. i.e No future bookings.

For the foreseeable future, we continue to run a TRIAGE first SAME DAY  / NEXT DAY service.

You must have had a TELEPHONE CALL or TEXT inviting you for an appointment, before you come to the surgery.

PRESCRIPTIONS

 Request your prescription using  PATIENT ACCESS  www.patientaccess.com

We are not receiving any paper request for prescriptions.

All prescriptions are to be requested by the EPS ( electronic prescribing system ) and  will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy.

If you do not have online access you have three ( 3)  options

  • You can try to set yourself up by downloading the NHS apps and following the instructions.
  • You can do an eConsult on  ellispractice.co.uk requesting administrative help to set you up.
  • You can call the practice and ask the receptionist to place  your name on our online help list for an administrator to call you, to help with setting you up .

 If our administrator is unable to help with setting you up she will advise you of what is possible for you . 

 

APPOINTMENTS   ( 3  options )

  1. Do an eConsult on our website ellispractice.co.uk ( particulary if you are requesting a specific GP, the eConsult will be dealt with on the next day that the GP is working .

Our website www.ellispractice.co.uk  has the schedule of our Gp’s usual working day if they are not on annual leave.

 

  1. Book a slot called “GP telephone call” online on  patientaccess.com

The next day early morning telephone appointments are released at 6.30 pm the previous day.

PLEASE NOTE  : As the eConsult method of contacting the practice becomes more popular there will be fewer online telephone appointments available each day as the capacity will be replaced by eConsults responses.

 

 If you do not have a smart phone or computer .

You can call the practice on 020 8 736 7198 to book the next available telephone call with an appropriate clinician.  

There are only 2 receptionists answering the telephone so there may be a delay in responding.  

PLEASE NOTE eConsult is the best method for access  to a specific GP.
