All GP appointments will be a telephone appointment for an initial assessment. Following this assessment, if the decision is made that you need a face to face appointment, the GP will arrange this with you directly.
Note that clinicians may respond to patients by phone, text, email or video.
GP Appointments (4 options)
Option 1 - For Direct Online GP Appointment
Booking an appointment online is the easiest and preferred method of booking a direct GP appointment.
Online GP telephone appointments are available via the NHS App Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
All available appointments on that day are released 1 hour before the appointment time. Therefore if you book an appointment please ensure you are able to answer your phone.
Option 2 - eConsult
eConsults are a quick and easy way to send your request to the practice.
We usually offer 20 eConsults per day which are available every day from 8am until they are all used up. We may occasionally reduce or increase this figure depending on the number of staff available to process eConsults.
Your eConsult request will be triaged, you will receive a response with the outcome of your request via text message.
Patients can click here or visit the NHS App to access eConsult.
Options 3 and 4 - Via telephone for Reception Booking or AUTOMATED line booking
For patients unable to use online booking or fill in an eConsult when calling the practice, be prepared to answer a few triaging questions which the automated system or the reception team will ask you.
Your responses will be recorded and added to a list to be triaged by a clinician who will respond to you with an outcome of your request via text message.
Paper Documents
You can hand in your documents at reception, the receptionist will scan and upload the document on our clinical system and hand it back to you.
You can respond to a text message with the document attached which will automatically place the document into your clinical notes.
