Coronavirus (COVID-19) update  - 1st June 2020 


We continue to run a TRIAGE first service . You must have a TELEPHONE CALL  or TEXT inviting you for an appointment, before you come to the surgery.

Our ONLINE booking system REMAINS the SAME the only difference is that you will be booking a telephone call and not a face to face appointment.

Our ONLINE booking system is as follows :

From 6.30 pm we release a limited number of NEXT day telephone appointments

From 7.30 am we release a limited number of SAME day telephone appointments

We are only running a same day / next day service until further notice.

eConsults (booked  on our website www.ellispractice.co.uk  ) are available at ALL times

We have 2 receptionists answering telephones between 8 am and 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Unfortunately if a patient has a complex query which may take some time the telephone queue may build up, for this reason we are ENCOURAGING all our patients to register for our ONLINE services.

 If you email our practice account BRECCG.EllisPracticeWelford@nhs.net from a secure email address requesting ONLINE booking paperwork we would happily email it to you. In this email can you please state your mobile number, address and DOB so we can verify you on our clinical system.

For Appointments - DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING 

1) Do an eConsult on our website

2) Book a telephone call online on  www.patientaccess.com

 3) Call between 8 and 9 am to book a telephone call. If you do not have a smart phone or a computer.

For Prescriptions - DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING 

1) Request your prescription on www.patientaccess.com

2) Request your prescription by doing an eConsult.

3) Email  BRECCG.EllisPracticeWelford@nhs.net with your request and the name of a nominated pharmacy

4) Call your nominated pharmacy and ask them to request your prescription

All prescriptions will be sent to a nominated pharmacy.

If you DO NOT have a nominated pharmacy then please email us with the name of one.

We have been receiving high volumes of calls about repeat prescriptions which PLEASE NOTE : 

Your daily repeat medication has been authorised to send in advance to your Pharmacist for 3-6 months. You will need to contact your Pharmacy a few days before you run out of medication. Please check your Patient Access for the date you need to reorder your medication from the surgery. You may need to continue to request medication that you don't use the same amount of every month.  

We have been receiving high volumes of calls for letters to give to your employers PLEASE download this letter and take to your employer.
